Wilderness First Aid (11/6 & 11/7)

Accidents happen. People get hurt, sick, or lost. The temperature drops, the wind picks up, and it starts to rain. Would you know what to do? Many backcountry emergencies are preventable, and even when bad things happen, sometimes the wrong care can make things worse. By learning a few basic skills, you can make the difference between a good outcome and a bad one-and maybe even save a life.*

Join White Birch Armory and SOLO in Wilderness First Aid! Students will learn basic level of first aid training, response and assessment, musculoskeletal injuries, environmental emergencies, survival skills, soft tissue injuries and other medical emergencies. Students will be taking written assessments throughout the course and receive a 2-year SOLO certificate that is nationally recognized should students want to join search and rescue groups, become an outdoor guide, and more! Be sure to dress accordingly as there will be an outdoor session on Day 2.

This is a TWO DAY course.

Saturday, November 6^th 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM

Sunday, November 7^th 10:00 AM – 6:00 PM

Students must be 14 years of age or older. Please note this class does not offer CPR Certifications. Students are encouraged to bring a boxed lunch. Caliber Café is open Saturday 9 – 5 PM and Sunday 10 – 5 PM for breakfast and lunch.
