Rebecca Bruhn
Adjunct Instructor

Rebecca has a passion for helping women and families empower themselves with awareness and preparedness skills. Whether in an urban or wilderness setting, skills such as situational awareness, self defense, first aid/wound management, or cooking without electricity are invaluable when needed. Rebecca’s excited to help people acquire such skills- because not only are they fun to learn, they’re practical to have. And when we practice them together, we build our confidence and create meaningful connections.

Rebecca also loves helping people deepen their connection with the natural world. She has taught at bushcraft and outdoor schools leading wilderness immersion programs for youth, teens, and adults. She’s designed and implemented nature-based curriculums and created off the grid holistic health kitchens for schools, home school groups, and camps.

As a listening circle facilitator, Rebecca sees the power in deep listening to shift mindset. Whether that’s by listening to each other, the birds, or the tracks on the ground, the stories we hear and the ones we share can transform our perspectives and deepen our connections. Expanding our listening and observation skills also helps us think outside the box and be creative with the resources around us in any given situation.
