RI (aka “R3 After Dark”) safely punishes mistakes and will make you a better, safer shooter. While shooting in low light is the surface layer, this course, at least for me, was about setup ergonomics (is your optic and light aligned for quick shots out of a 45 degree VTAC opening?), operating under a stack of challenges and pressure, and problem solving.
I was lucky to get Dan again as an instructor, who encouraged us to take full advantage of the course. I had the privilege of experiencing a misfire, dry rifle mag, dry pistol mag, to pulling the wrong mag within 10 seconds in the dark.
I plan on taking this course at least a few times a year.

This was a fantastic class. Anthony and Dan were very knowledgeable and offered a wealth of knowledge on the subject and pushed us to perform. I would absolutely recommend this class and would love to take it again.

Dan and Anthony did an excellent job teaching this class. We learned many different ways to tactically employ the weapon light to great success. I learned invaluable information, I quickly discovered that my sling and light choices were not the best. I upgraded both. It’s far better to learn this on the range than in real life. I’ll take this class again the next time it’s offered.
