I chose to take this class based on excellent feedback I’d received from trusted shooting buddies about Dan as an instructor…and the stellar reviews from the other reviewers. They were all correct. The classroom conversations, every question he answered on and off the range, and all the preparation, execution, and evaluation of drills met my standards for very high quality instruction.
The class is intended as a follow up to the S1 course, so some of the curriculum overlapped with training and experience I’d had elsewhere. Fortunately, the drills and instructors allowed shooters with varying levels of experience to each challenge ourselves. I never felt bored.
Having experienced the challenges and instruction in WB’s pistol league nights and S2, I’m excited for S3 and many other WB offerings to come.

Dan and Kevin did an excellent job teaching this class. From clearing malfunctions to target accuracy, and proper reloading techniques, all was well demonstrated and they made sure we understood, giving us plenty of range time to practice what we learned. This class was well worth the time and money. I’m looking forward to taking S3!

Dan was an excellent instructor. Specifically he taught techniques to “win a gunfight”. I have had advanced courses at Sig Sauer Academy. I learned more today and had a better learning experience than any class I’ve taken in multiple Sig classes. I highly recommend this class to appreciate the merits of deploying the shotgun as an excellent home defense platform. Can’t wait for S3 with Dan. His knowledge and practical application is valuable and an asset building personal defense skills.

This was an amazing and informative class taught by a very knowledgable instructor! Waiting now for the S3 class to become available so I can continue my progression with shotgun firearms.

My wife and I took this S2 class and it was a ton of fun! We learned so much from Dan. He is a wealth of knowledge and there is no one better to learn from when it comes to the shotgun platform. Dan is not only an expert when it comes to shotguns, he is a caring teacher with a very high attention to detail. We will be signing up for S3 as soon as it is available. Every person with a family to protect should go through this series of shotgun classes. Thanks again Dan and White Birch Armory!
